Hello! My name’s Becky Sellick,

I have trained, practiced and worked as a painter for as long as I can remember! My first introduction to the world of creating for performance came as a teenager when I volunteered at local theatre groups to design and oversee the make up for their shows, from this point I was totally hooked on learning as much as I could about painting and creating for the theatre and film industry. I went onto studying a degree in Technical Arts and Special Effects for Theatre and Film at Wimbledon College of Art and subsequently a postgraduate diploma in Scenic Art at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

From this point 5 years ago I have worked professionally as a Scenic artist and prop painter amongst a multitude of different settings including festivals, pantomimes, west end shows, advertising, live action films and stop frame animation.

Some credits of companies/ films and shows I have been involved with include: Richard Nutbourne’s Scenic Studio, StageOne, Splinter Scenery, Boomtown Festival, LAMDA, All Scene All Props, Robert Knight,  Wes Anderson’s ‘Isle of Dogs’, Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler’s ‘Cursed’ and Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid’.

I have more recently began to explore my passion for illustration and in particular using watercolours. I am able to offer anything from bespoke personalised pieces to realistic portraits of animals and people. I am also available for prop painting and all things scenic!
